COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL 4:

CHANGES IN OUR PROGRAMS & SERVICES DELIVERY

Following the recommendations of Public Health, CHHA-NL is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, effective January 4, 2022 under COVID-19 Alert Level 4. Our staff are still here for you!

Safety of everyone is our top priority. The change in alert levels impacts the delivery methods of our programs and services. We will be offering the following services with restrictions.

PLEASE NOTE:

**ALL SERVICES MUST BE PRE-ARRANGED WITH A STAFF MEMBER**

Technology Lending Program: 

  • All loans MUST be arranged over the phone (1-888-753-3224), through text messaging (709-725-3224), email (programs@chha-nl.ca), Facebook Messenger (betterhearingNL) or FaceTime/Zoom/Skype.
  • Pre-arranged appointment time for curbside pick up of devices is required. 
  • ALL returned devices are sanitized and placed in quarantine.

This program offers the opportunity for individuals to try hearing assistive devices, such as amplified telephones, for 1-2 weeks (depending on the device) to find a suitable device before making a purchase. Hearing Assistive Technology Sales: 

  • As a social enterprise to support CHHA-NL’s technology lending program, we offer the purchase of select hearing assistive devices. These devices include pocket talkers, cordless and corded amplified telephones, shake awake alarm clock and a fire alert system.
  • Sales will primarily be done over the phone with payment through credit card.
  • The device can be mailed or received through pre-arranged appointment time for curbside pick up.

Client Services Program:

  •  NO WALK-INS OR IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS OFFERED AT THIS TIME.
  • This program will be available primarily over the phone (1-888-753-3224), through text messaging (709-725-3224), email (programs@chha-nl.ca), Facebook Messenger (betterhearingNL) or Facetime/Skype/Zoom.
  • Client services is our most popular program where individuals and their families can speak with a Hearing Loss Support Specialist to learn about their hearing loss and what is available to help.
