Alert and Aware Program
The CHHA-NL Alert and Aware Program is available to provide or assist with the cost (for qualifying applicants) of a bedroom fire alert system. The amount of funding available for bedroom fire alerts is dependent on need, household income, funding availability and other qualifying criteria. Public Accessibility Program
CHHA-NL provides a Public Accessibility Program for community organizations, charity groups, places of worship, and other places that provide public meeting spaces. The public accessibility fund provides hearing assistive technology for non-profits and registered charities to allow for greater accessibility in public spaces. Scholarships
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association- Newfoundland and Labrador (CHHA-NL) offers 3 scholarships for students in Newfoundland and Labrador with hearing loss. There is an additional scholarship for students pursuing a career in Audiology. Please note: the deadline for all scholarship applications is June 30 of each year.
