Provincial Arts & Cultures: Now Hearing Accessible

- Community Award Profile | News Story

Patrons of the six Arts and Culture Centre theatres (and two basement theatres) throughout Newfoundland and Labrador can now enjoy an improved listening experience. Personal FM listening systems are available at all locations for those who experience hearing challenges.

Locations: St. John’s Main Theatre, St. John’s Basement Theatre, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Stephenville, Stephenville Basement Theatre, and Labrador City.

All audio is transmitted directly from the theatre sound system, allowing users to hear any type of performance with more clarity, including music and voices.

Patrons can listen using either:
(1) a headset, or
(2) a neckloop (for those with telecoil).

We are pleased to recognize the Arts and Culture Centres with the 2013 Community Accessibility Award.
